Absolutely gorgeous gem Rhodochrosite crystals sitting aesthetical at the top of black base from the famous NChwaning Mines, South Africa. It displays completely transparent, clear and gem Rhodochrosite crystals to 11mm. The two main crystals are doubly terminated. The Rhodochrosite has intense and incredibly rich cherry-rose-red color, strongly underlined by the black matrix. The crystals are perfect with sharp shape and edges. The faces have excellent luster. The quality is outstanding, with superb color and clarity - the crystals just glow. The deposit has produced these treasures long time ago and pieces like this have always been scarce. The quality rivals the Sweet Home Mine Rhodochrosites. In excellent condition – some matrix and back side contacts. On acrylic base.
