Colorful specimen of gem blue Lazulite crystals with Siderite from Rapid Creek - the famous phosphate deposits of Yukon. Lazulite is a rare magnesium aluminum phosphate and some of the finest come from this locality. Lazulite crystals are sharp, highly lustrous, very well formed, monoclinic with deep indigo blue to royal blue color. The most amazing aspect is the gemminess of the crystals – they are transparent with striking and saturated blue nuances. Some brown Siderite crystals add a nice accent. Some nicks and contacts.
Marvelous gem Lazulite!
