Superb lustrous and slightly gemmy crystals of Garnet var. Andradite var. Melanite from Sokolovskoe Iron Mine, Kazakhstan. The biggest 17mm crystal at the top gives excellent finish. The Melanites are black with perfect, razor-sharp, truncated, rhombic dodecahedral crystallization and strong luster. On back light are seen some gemmy areas. Displays all over 360 degree. In good condition – some small nicks and base contacts. On acrylic base.
