Fantastic epimorph Calcite specimen with Sphalerite and Quartz from Krushev dol mine, Madan ore field, Bulgaria. Epimorph is a type of pseudomorph where a mineral replaces another mineral and the original mineral dissolves, leaving a hollow cast surrounded by the new mineral. It displays superb Calcite skeleton left after the dissolved rhombohedral primary Calcite crystal. The color is white and the crystal is sparkling. The base is formed by black Sphalerite and Quartz. In excellent condition – some contacts on the base.
