Cute specimen of gem Grossular Garnet crystals attractively set on Diopside needles from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The Grossular crystals are extremely transparent, gem quality with superb luster and pleasing orange color. They are up to 6mm big with sharp rhombic dodecahedral habit. Inside the Garnet are seen inclusions of Diopside needles. The dominant crystal at the top forms superb focal point. The Diopside crystals are light green needles, well crystallized with elongated shape. Displays nicely all over 360 degree. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition - some minor Diopside contacts. On acrylic base.
