Uncommon and aesthetic specimen of Garnet var. Andradite crystals on Quartz druse from El Mochito Mine, Honduras. The piece comes from the collection of Karen and Fred Bailey with a lable. It displays rhombic dodecahedral Andradite crystals to 3mm. They are with pleasing brown-red color, very well crystallized, with sharp edges and waxy luster. The Andradites are gemmy. Colorless and transparent sharp Quartz crystals give strong contrast. In very good condition – some minor nicks and outside edge contacts. On acrylic base.
