Superb geometry for this lustrous Garnet var. Andradite var. Melanite crystal from Kayes Region, Mali. The Melanite crystal is black with perfect, razor-sharp rhombic dodecahedral habit and strong luster. It has pretty beveled edges. The specimen is complete all over floater. In very good condition – some small contacts.
