Uncommon Gonnardite epimorph after Calcite with yellow Calcite from the famous Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada. Epimorph is a type of pseudomorph where a mineral replaces another mineral and the original mineral dissolves, leaving a hollow cast surrounded by the new mineral. Displays white Gonnardite formed after the prime generation of Calcite which has been dissolved leaving a crust of Gonnardite with the shape of the dissolved one. Inside grow scalenohedral Calcites with yellow color. In good condition – some contacts.
