Magnificent small Rhodochrosite specimen with transparent needle Quartzes from Pasto Bueno District, Peru. Displays opaque to gemmy Rhodochrosite crystals to10 mm with pleasing cherry-red color aesthetically set with rising water-clear Quartzes. The Rhodochrosite crystals are rhombohedral with good luster. The deposit has produced these treasures around 1980 and pieces like this have always been scarce. In very good condition – some small nicks and Quartz damages. On acrylic base.
