Wonderful bright and gem blue Lazulite crystals with very rare gemmy Kulanite crystals from Rapid Creek - the famous phosphate deposits of Yukon, Canada. Lazulite is a rare magnesium aluminum phosphate and some of the finest come from this locality. The Lazulite crystals are sharp, highly lustrous, very well formed, monoclinic, deep indigo blue to bright blue color. The most amazing aspect is the gemminess of the crystals – they are transparent with marvelous and saturated blue-green nuances. On the front and the back side of the specimen are seen small gemmy Kulanite crystals with oil-green color. Kulanite is very rare mineral and this is the type locality. Some yellow-brown Siderite crystals add a nice accent. Some nicks and contacts. On acrylic base.
Superb Lazulite-Kulanite combo!
