Superb highly aesthetic specimen of glassy Fluorapatite crystals decorating chunky Quartz crystal with Arsenopyrite and Muscovite from the famous Panasqueira mine, Portugal. It displays tabular hexagonal Fluorapatite crystals to 8mm with rich olive-green color. They have attractive phantoms inside. The Fluorapatites are highly lustrous, vitreous and gem. The Quartz crystal is well shaped and very sharp. It is colorless and water clear with high transparency. Inside are seen inclusions of Fluorapatite crystals. A Muscovite layer covers some of the Fluorapatite crystals. It is sprinkled with micro yellow Arsenopyrite crystals that sparkle nicely. Displays attractively all over 360 degree. For references see the 2014 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 45, # 1. In very good condition – some nicks and Quartz lower part contacts. On acrylic base.
Fantastic!
