Colorful jewels of extremely sparkling Garnet var. Grossular var. Chromian from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The crystals are very gem and clear up to 2mm. They have superb deep emerald-green color due to Chromium. With rhombic dodecahedral sharp crystallization, glassy luster and irresistible color. Some dark Clinochlore rosettes are seen too. Very hard to find one of these now – the mine is closed and this was found long time ago. Green colored Garnets are among the best Jeffrey mine Garnets. This is of fine quality – very fresh and attractive. For references see the issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – some small contacts.
Wonderful gem-green Garnets!
