Striking orange color for this Orpiment specimen from Russia mined more than 12 years ago. It comes from 2004 find in El brusskiy Arsenic mine, Elbrus Mt, Russia. The Orpiment crystals are blades forming dense fan clusters. The specimen is fresh and sparkling. The color is very saturated, vivid and intense orange, which is simply marvelous. Some colorless transparent Baryte crystals are seen too. In order to preserved the color the specimen must be stored in dark and not exposed on a sun light. Some bruises. On acrylic base.
Tempting!
