Cool Manganoan Vesuvianite specimen from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The flat terminated crystals are gemmy. They have splendid color variation from purple to very saturate and rich fuchsia-purple at the caps and some apple-green. The luster is very strong and the crystals are transparent and glassy. The colorfulness of the specimen is very pleasing. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – some contacts towards the back side. On acrylic base.
Marvelous!
