Sparkling jewels of orange colored Grossular Garnets attractively set on green Clinochlore. This is quite uncommon combo from Jeffrey mine, Canada. The Grossular crystals are up to 5mm big, super gem with glassy luster and pleasing color. They are extremely transparent and water clear. They have perfect rhombic dodecahedral crystal habit with rhomboid shape faces - classic for this locality. Clinochlore crystals well developed in rosette clusters with bright green color. Some Diopside needle inclusions are seen in the Grossular crystals. The high quality of the minerals gives perfect display and strong contrast. For references see the issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition – some outside edge contacts. On acrylic base.
Very eye catching!
