Knappenwand is a world famous mineral locality for Epidote and this is beautiful specimen. The Epidote crystals grow in an airy cluster with many free standing blades. They have pleasing olive-green color. The crystals are lustrous and strongly light reflective. The Epidotes are very sharp, well terminated and when back lighted are gemmy.
