Fabulous gem orange colored Grossular Garnet crystals with Diopside from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The Grossular crystals are up to 5mm big. They are extremely transparent, gem quality with superb luster and pleasing color. Trapezohedral habit with sharp crystallization. All crystals have nice striations characteristic for Jeffrey mine. Some small green Diopside crystals enrich the display. With such gemminess, strong luster and pleasing color it is a fine Garnet from this great and closed mine. Displays on both sides. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition – some small contacts. On acrylic base.
