Splendid specimen of grass green Garnet var. Grossular var. Chromian from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The crystals are gem and clear up to 3mm. They have very deep and saturated grass-green color due to Chromium. They are with sharp crystallization, glassy luster and irresistible color. Small Diopside crystals with brown-orange coating grow on the base. Fine piece from this closed mine - very colorful. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4.
