Bizarre specimen of a single Quartz crystal sliced by many Calcite layers from Bor Pit, Dal negorsk, Russia. The crystal has sharp hexagonal shape and irregular thickness due to tectonic movements. Thin layers of Calcite cut it by very unusual manner. The Quartz crystal is transparent and clear with strong luster. In very good condition – some small nicks and contacts. On acrylic base.
