Beautiful specimen of Garnet var. Andradite on Hedenbergite decorated by Quartz crystals from Serifos Island, Greece. Dodecahedral Andradite crystals to 11mm are nested on green Hedenbergite. The Garnets are with pleasant red-brown color, very well crystallized, with sharp edges and matt lustrous. The matrix is of parallel Hedenbergite columns, grown in a cluster. Attractive finish is the Quartz crystals. In very good condition – some base part contacts. On acrylic base.
