Exceptional 17cm cabinet specimen of colorful and gemmy Garnet var. Uvarovite crystals up to 6mm from the type locality of Saranovskii Mine, Russia. Displays a base covered by Uvarovite in beautiful crystals attractively surrounding white Calcite center. Typically these Uvarovites are in micro size crystals and very densely growing but these ones are different – with superb size up to 6mm and very well isolated. The most amazing aspect is the quality of the crystals - they have gemmy areas with incredible brilliance and luster combined with striking and rich grass-green color – absolutely adorable. They have sharp rhombic dodecahedral crystals – very sparkling and shiny. The contrast is very strong. In very good condition – some contacts.
