One of the best, arguably the best colored Manganoan Vesuvianite specimen ever found in the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. It comes from a single, top and unique pocket. The specimen is a miniature size but the color is absolutely unbelievable. It displays intergrown crystals up to 9mm sticking out all over. The perfectly flat terminated crystals are gem. The main crystals are doubly terminated. They have an amazing purple color - very vivid, saturated, intense, rich and striking. The luster is very strong and the crystals are transparent and glassy. That is the most intense color that the mine produced. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition - some micro nicks and base contacts.
Exceptional world grade color Manganoan Vesuvianite – can leave you speechless!
