Killer crystals of Hematite decorated by slightly gemmy Rutile crystals with epitaxial growth from Cavradi gorge, Switzerland. Cavradi Hematites are classic and highly treasured. The Hematite crystals have perfect plate shape with beveled terminations. They grow in a beautiful three dimensional cluster. The Hematite has superb quality, with extremely lustrous faces which nicely reflects the light and cool growth striations. On both sides is seen epitaxial overgrowth of small red Rutile crystals, aligned in the direction of the Hematite growth. Rutile crystals are well isolated, lustrous and gemmy. Minor Quartz crystals are present too. Elegant and well shaped all over 360 degree. In excellent condition – some outside edge contacts. On acrylic base.
