Superb specimen of gemmy Lazulite decorated by Fluorapatite, Siderite and Quartz from the famous phosphate deposits of Yukon. Lazulite is a rare magnesium aluminum phosphate and some of the finest come from this locality. The Lazulite crystals are sharp, highly lustrous, very well formed, monoclinic, deep indigo blue color measuring up to 9mm. Many crystals have gemmy areas with striking royal-blue color and some are twinned. The Fluorapatite crystals are colorless with minor light purple color. They are strongly lustrous, gemmy and very well crystallized. Siderite with yellow-brown color add a nice accent. Transparent Quartzes are seen too. In good condition – some small damages and side contacts. On acrylic base.
Wonderful Lazulite-Fluorapatite specimen!
