Exceptionally colored dark grass-green Chromian Vesuvianite – the rarest and most desirable color. The perfect well terminated crystals have very saturated dark green color due to Chromium. This is an extremely rare color. The color is the ultimate green that is possible to find from the mine. The quality is very good – gem crystals with lustrous faces which strongly reflect the light giving superb sparkling appearance. Some lighter green small Diopsides are seen too. Rare green Vesuvianite from this great now closed mine. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – some small contacts. On acrylic base.

Rare green jewel!
