Colorful specimen of grass-green Garnet var. Grossular var. Chromian. The crystals are gem, up to 4mm big. They have grass green color, due to Chromium. With rhombic dodecahedral sharp crystallization, glassy luster and irresistible color. Olive green Clinochlore rosettes grow above. Very hard to find one of these now – the mine is closed. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. Some nicks and contacts. On acrylic base.
Wonderful!
