Superb specimen from this closed mine of sparkling Garnet var. Grossular var. Chromian with Diopside and Calcite. The Grossular crystals are with deep green color - result of Chromium. They are micro crystals densely covering the base. Delicate free standing Diopside crystals to 14 mm add a nice accent. White Calcite gives an additional contrast. Very hard to find one of these now – the mine is closed since long time. In very good condition – some contacts.
