Historical Wulfenite specimen purchased in 1887 by The Natural History Museum in Vienna (K.K. Mineralien-Kabinet) from Albert Edward Foote, one of America's most famous early mineral dealers. For references see the July-August 2015 Supplement of The Mineralogical Record – Mineral collections in the American Midwest and November-December 2015 issue of The Mineralogical Record – The mineral collection of The Natural History Museum in Vienna. The specimen comes with two original labels from these owners. Displays beautiful single crystal of rich red-orange Wulfenite from the famous mine of Red Cloud, Arizona. The color is intense and fresh. Very sharp and lustrous crystal of 21 mm with superb beveled edges. Wulfenite quality is excellent – it is transparent and gemmy with very vitreous appearance. The crystal is complete all over. In excellent condition – some micro nicks.
