Killer top quality Manganoan Vesuvianite specimen with intergrown crystals sticking out all over. The perfectly flat terminated crystals are gem. They have an amazing color variation from purple to very saturated and rich fuchsia-purple at the caps. The luster is very strong and the crystals are transparent and glassy. That is the most intense color that the mine produced in just one single pocket.  The colorfulness of the specimen is gorgeous.  For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4.
