Exceptional, competition thumbnail specimen of rare pink-peach colored Grossular Garnets to 7mm associated with Diopside and Wollastonite. The Garnets form a well isolated 13mm cluster of extremely glassy, transparent, gem quality crystals. They have superb luster and incredible rich pink-peach color. Perfect and razor sharp rhombic dodecahedral crystal habit. They grow on white hair like Wollastonite. The base is covered by green Diopsides. The Garnets color combined with the excellent gemminess and the strong contrast on the white background make it remarkable specimen from this closed mine. This combination was found just in one pocket decades ago and specimens of this type are very difficult to find. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition – some micro nicks. On acrylic base.
It is truly a chance to have such rare world quality beauty!
