Splendid specimen of many doubly terminated pyramidal Wulfenite crystals to 12mm on amatrix - a habit that is not common for that mineral. The tips of some crystals are complex and separate into numerous smaller pyramids. The crystals are sharp, well formed and isolated with deep, intense orange color. The Wulfenite crystals are partially covered by snow like, sparkling, white Calcite giving the final touch. The white matrix underlines very well the Wulfenites. Graceful specimen from the legendary and one of the most classic localities for Wulfenite - Mezica, Slovenia. For references The Mineralogical Record, March-April 1991: Famous Mineral Localities: The Mezica Mine, Slovenia, Yugoslavia. 360 degree specimen. In superb condition. On acrylic base.
Beautiful!
