Exceptional Chromian Vesuvianite – the rarest and most desirable color. The perfect, many doubly terminated, crystals are up to 19 mm in length and have very intense dark emerald-green color due to Chromium. This is extremely rare color and usually the crystals are inosculated in the base. The color is the ultimate green that is possible to find from the mine. The quality is outstanding – gem crystals with very lustrous faces that strongly reflect the light which gives superb sparkling appearance. Displays beautifully from all sides. Some green Diopside adds a nice accent. Overall stunning green Vesuvianite from this great, now inactive mine. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition – some contacts. On acrylic base.

Top grade Chromian Vesuvianite!
