Pompous and sculptural specimen of Aegirine and Smoky Quartz atop porcelain Microcline. One dominant 46mm Aegirine spear and one dominant Smoky Quartz make excellent focal points. Aegirines are prismatic elongated crystals with dark black color and superb luster. Smoky Quartz crystals are sharp and well definite, highly lustrous, transparent, and clear. The white Microcline is good quality, well crystallized and adds a nice contrast. Outstanding arrangement from many angles - very 3 dimensional specimen. The Aegirine from Mount Malosa is considered among the best and this is a choice specimen. In excellent condition – some small imperfections.
