Killer crystal of super gem Grossular Garnet var. Tsavorite on a small matrix from Merelani Hills, Tanzania.  The Tsavorite is a very rare, green, chromium or vanadium variety of Grossular. It is 11mm big, very vitreous, clear, transparent and gem with strong luster. It has rich green color and sharp rhombic dodecahedral crystal habit. Some Graphite is seen at the base. In excellent condition – some micro nicks and base contacts. On acrylic base.
