Superb grass green Garnet var. Grossular var. Chromian with up to 2mm crystals from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. They are with deep green color - result of Chromium. The Grossular has rhombic dodecahedral sharp crystallization, glassy luster and irresistible color. The crystals are gem. Phantoms are seen in some crystals. Small Diopside crystals add a nice accent. Small black Chromite inclusions are present in the Garnets as well. Very hard to find one of these now – the mine is closed. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition – some small contacts.

Marvelous!
