Marvelous specimen of orange colored Grossular Garnet crystal to 5mm attractively grow on green Diopside from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The Grossular crystals are transparent, gem quality with superb luster and pleasing color. They have trapezohedral habit with sharp crystallization. The Diopside crystals are elongated and grow freely in all directions. That adds a nice contrast. Displays on both sides. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – some small contacts. On acrylic base.

Superb!
