Dark grass-green Chromian Vesuvianite – the rarest and most desirable color. The well terminated crystals have very saturated dark green color due to Chromium. The crystals are gemmy with lustrous faces to some matt areas. Some lighter green small Diopsides grow above. Rare green Vesuvianite from this great now closed mine. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In good condition – some imperfections. On acrylic base.
