A cool specimen of lustrous garnet var. andradite var. melanite crystals from Arrondissement Diakon, Kayes Region, Mali. The melanite crystals to 12mm are very well shaped. They are black with a sharp rhombic dodecahedral habit and strong luster. They have pretty beveled edges. In excellent condition. On acrylic base.
