Exceptional specimen from Knappenwand - world famous mineral locality for fine Epidote-Byssolite. The piece is from the collection of The Natural History Museum in Vienna. The specimen comes with original label from the museum. It displays very beautiful and delicate V shaped cluster of fibrous hair like Byssolite needles impaled on gorgeous Epidote crystals. The Byssolite has green color and it is very sparkling. The Epidote crystals are razor sharp and perfectly terminated with rich olive-green color. They are lustrous and strongly light reflective. Small white Albite crystals add a nice contrast. Displays all over 360 degree. For references The Mineralogical Record, vol. 17, pp 167-181.
