Extremely rare pink colored Grossular Garnets to 6mm associated with Diopside and Wollastonite. The Garnet crystals are well isolated, extremely glassy, transparent, gem quality with superb luster and rich pink color. Perfect rhombohedral crystal habit. They are scattered on white hair like Wollastonite. The base is green Diopsides. The color is very tender and combined with the excellent gemminess and the strong contrast on the white background make it remarkable specimen from this closed mine. This combination was found just in one pocket decades ago and specimens of this type are very difficult to find. For references see the issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4.  In superb condition – outside edges contacts and small nicks on the Diopsides. On acrylic base.
It is truly a chance to have such rare beauty!
