Gorgeous and rare Garnet var. Grossular with green phantoms. Grossular crystals are gem, with green cores, which are result of Chromium, surrounded by transparent, colorless areas. The crystals have rhombic dodecahedral sharp crystallization, good luster and irresistible contrast. Green cored Garnets are among the most unusual and rare Jeffrey mine Garnets. This was mined long time ago - the mine is inactive now. For references see the issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition – some side contacts. On acrylic base.
