An outstanding specimen of the famous iridescent "rainbow" garnet var. andradite from Kohse mine, Tenkawa village, Japan. The crystals have a pleasing red-brown color with razor-sharp rhombic dodecahedral habit and strong luster. They are translucent. They have a gorgeous natural iridescent coating. The locality is strictly prohibited for collecting so the specimens are rare. In very good condition - some small contacts.
