An excellent crystal of the famous iridescent "rainbow" garnet var. andradite from Kohse mine, Tenkawa village, Japan. The crystal has a pleasing tobacco color with razor-sharp rhombic dodecahedral habit and waxy luster. It has a natural iridescent coating. The locality is strictly prohibited for collecting so the specimens are rare. In very good condition - some micro nicks. On acrylic base.
