A beautiful specimen of rhodochrosite crystals, with natrolite and aegirine, standing aesthetically on the top of polylithionite, from this famous locality - Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada. It displays sharp rhombohedral rhodochrosite crystals with a pleasant red-brown color. They are decorated with colorless prismatic natrolite crystals. Natrolites are gemmy and strongly lustrous. Small black aegirine needles are seen too. The polylithionite forms rosettes with shiny and light reflective faces.  It shows aesthetically all over 360 degree. For references see the 1990 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 21, # 4. In very good condition – some small damages. On acrylic base.

Fascinating!
