Fabulous specimen of very rare Garnet var. Grossular with grass green phantoms from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The Grossular crystals are gem with grass green cores which are result of Chromium and surrounded by transparent colorless areas. The crystals have rhombic dodecahedral sharp crystallization, strong luster and irresistible contrast. Some minor Diopside crystals are seen too. The green cored Garnets are among the most unusual and rare Jeffrey mine Garnets. This was mined long time ago - the mine is closed now. It displays aesthetically all over 360 degree.
