Top crystal of very rare twinned Whewellite from the famous Schlema-Hartenstein District of Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany. This specimen was mined more that 30 years ago (in 1990) in 1575 level, Shaft 371 by a miner and kept in his personal collection. Whewellite is a chemically unusual hydrated-calcium-oxalate. It displays a superb Whewellite with sharp crystallization all over. It is translucent and colorless with a pearly luster. It is twinned which is even more unusual. In excellent condition. On acrylic base.
