Superb crystal of Zunyite from a recent find in Qalat-e Payeen (Qalat-e Bala) salt dome, Bandar Abbas, Iran. Zunyite is a rare mineral. The quality is outstanding and these are among the best Zunyite crystals ever found. It displays complete all over tetrahedral Zunyite crystal of 13mm. It is razor sharp with pleasing brick-red color and pretty beveled corners. The most amazing aspect is the geometrical perfection. Most of the crystals from the find have black Hematite inclusions but this one is without them which is even rarer. In very good condition – small damage on the back side tip. On acrylic base.
