Superb specimen of twinned Galena decorated with gemmy twinned Sphalerite var. Cleiophane from 9th Septemvri mine, Madan ore field, Bulgaria. Very attractive and geometrical arrangement of stacked and aligned Galena overgrowing each other. Excellent growth of sharp cubes, forming an amazing terraced structure. The cubes have truncated corners and perfect penetration twinning. The faces are matt lustrous. Gemmy olive-green Sphalerite var. Cleiophane crystals grow above. They are twinned too. In very good condition – some small nicks and contacts.
