Beautiful specimen of Sphalerite crystals decorated with Chalcopyrite from the famous Madan ore field, Bulgaria. It displays black Sphalerites crystals up to 18mm with strong luster and complex structure. They have perfect, sharp octahedral shape. Many faces are colored in yellow by epitaxial Chalcopyrite replacement. The Sphalerites form an excellent focal point at the top. The base is formed by transparent Quartz crystals which enriches the display. In excellent condition – some small nicks.
