Choice specimen of Garnet var. Uvarovite from the type locality of Saranovskii Mine, Russia. It displays Uvarovite crystals up to 3.5mm attractively surrounding white Calcite. The Uvarovite has deep intense grass-green color and sharp rhombic dodecahedral habit. The crystals are very lustrous and sparkling, and contrast strongly around the white core. The bottom is sawed.
